Only one candidate qualified for a vacant seat on the Century Town Council, and on Wednesday, she was elected by default. Lizbeth “Sparkie” Harrison was the first and only candidate to qualify for the seat. Harrison will be sworn into the office 10 days following the certification of the July 29 election date.
