Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- The New York man accused of attempting to intimidate and extort Escambia County Clerk of Court Pam Childers with a fire bomb appeared in federal court yesterday -- 35-year-old Justin Wright was arraigned at the federal courthouse in Pensacola. He's charged with cyberstalking, threatening and attempting to extort money, and using fire to commit a federal felony offense. Prosecutors say he firebombed a car outside of Childers home in March of last year -- but not many details have been released in the case. Officials say the main subject of the investigation has not yet been arrested. Wright's criminal record shows numerous prior arrests -- including charges such as robbery, fraud, and narcotics and weapons trafficking. Wright is due back in court on Friday for a detention hearing.
