Sunny skies, upper 80s expected Sunday in Escambia County

A pleasant autumn pattern is settling over the North Escambia area this weekend, with sunny skies and a high near 88 expected Sunday, according to the National Weather Service. Winds will remain calm, picking up only slightly to around 5 mph from the northwest in the afternoon.

Sunday night will stay mostly clear with temperatures dropping to near 60, providing relief from the summer heat. The cooler, drier air mass moving into the region is expected to stick around through the start of the week, bringing below-normal overnight temperatures and low humidity levels that should make outdoor activities comfortable.
