Cantonment Pumpkin Patch Opens for 31st Season

Fall has officially arrived in Cantonment with the opening of the Allen Memorial Methodist Men Pumpkin Patch, marking three decades of the community tradition. Volunteers from Northview High School's NJROTC program and the Tribal Beat Band helped unload and arrange the pumpkins Thursday, getting the patch ready for the season ahead.

The annual pumpkin patch has become a familiar fixture in the North Escambia area, drawing families looking to pick out gourds for decorating and carving as the season shifts toward Halloween and the holidays. The involvement of local high school groups underscores the community support that keeps the tradition running year after year.
