(Shalimar, FL) -- Several students are facing charges in Okaloosa County. The sheriff's office announced yesterday the charges date back to Thursday when there was an incident at Pryor Middle School. A boy allegedly interrupted a school function by detonating a firework and saying he had a gun while reaching into his backpack. He's charged with a felony, falsely reporting of a firearm. Several other students are charged with misdemeanors. Superintendent Marcus Chambers says any behavior that disrupts the learning environment and causes fear or alarm will be taken seriously and met with swift action.
