The Santa Rosa Sheriff's Office says a drug trafficking suspect is now behind bars after leading deputies on a high-speed chase Wednesday night. 27-year-old Travis Sterback is facing multiple charges, including trafficking in Spice, fleeing and eluding, and firing a weapon in public. It all started when deputies arrived at his home on Dobson Rd in Jay. While Sterback wasn't home initially, deputies say he pulled up, stopped his car in front of the house, and fired two shots out of the driver-side window. A chase then ensued that ended on Highway 87. Deputies recovered 150 pounds of spice from the home, with a street value of $200,000. The sheriff's office says additional charges are pending in Escambia County, as well.
