SEX OFFENDER CHARGED WITH ASSAULTING FAMILY MEMBER

Pensacola FL (NewsRadio 92-3) A registered sex offender is facing new charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a young family member. 55-year-old Teddy Morvant was arrested last week. According to a report, he's accused of sexually assaulting a young family member between 2023 and 2024 when she was between 5 and 6 years old. Morvant was arrested last Thursday and is charged with lewd and lascivious molestation and sexual battery by a family custodian. He's pleaded not guilty in the case and is due back in court on December 27th. Morvant has been a sex offender since 2005 when he was convicted of sexual battery on a minor. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison in that case.
