Second Arrest Made in Atmore Double-Shooting

Atmore, AL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Another arrest has been made in the fatal double-shooting in Atmore this week. Police say 24-year-old Javarius Watkins has now turned himself into the Escambia, Alabama jail. 22-year-old Tyler Hall was arrested previously. Both men are accused of being involved in the shooting that killed 18-year-old Gabriel Hooks and injured a female victim on Tuesday morning. Police say the shots were fired following an illegal street race just east of Atmore on Carver, Avenue. The shooting reportedly happened as winners were collecting their money. Police believe more arrests could be made in this case.
