Santa Rosa County Reports $2M+ Surplus for Fiscal Year 2025-2026

Santa Rosa County finished fiscal year 2025-2026 with more than $2 million in operational surplus, according to County Clerk and Comptroller Jason English.

The surplus represents unspent funds remaining after the county's operational budget cycle ended. County officials typically use such surpluses for contingencies, capital projects, or reserve accounts that help stabilize future budget planning.

English's report comes as local governments throughout Northwest Florida manage their finances heading into the new fiscal year.
