Rural Mail Carrier and Another Driver Hurt in North Escambia County Crash

Escambia County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Two people are hurt after a crash on Highway 29 over the weekend. It happened north of McDavid between Cox and Sigler roads. Officials say the accident involved a car and a rural mail carrier's vehicle. Firefighters had to extricate the mail carrier from their vehicle after the crash. Both drivers were taken to the hospital. The post office said the mail from the mail carrier's vehicle was retrieved and will be delivered. FHP is investigating the accident.
