Florida Senator Rick Scott is renewing his push to bring more pharmaceutical manufacturing back to the United States.
Scott chaired a Senate Aging Committee hearing examining U.S. dependence on foreign-made generic drugs and pharmaceutical ingredients, particularly supplies coming from China and India.
Scott is also backing legislation that would require country-of-origin labeling for prescription drugs. The measure cleared a Senate committee in July.
