Free Diapers, Baby Food Distribution Set for Milton Wednesday

State Representative Michelle Salzman is partnering with The Cutting Board and community organizers to distribute free diapers and baby food to Santa Rosa County families still recovering from Hurricane Isaias. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, October 28, from 4 to 6 p.m. at The Cutting Board, 8855 FL-87 in Milton.

Farm Share will supply an estimated 1,500 diapers in sizes 1, 3, and 5, plus 10 pallets of Beech-Nut baby food pouches. According to the press release, the distribution aims to help families access everyday necessities during the ongoing storm recovery period. "One of the things I love most about our community is how people come together when times get tough," Salzman said in a statement. "We want to be part of that kindness by helping local families with diapers and baby food and reminding them that they haven't been forgotten."

The Cutting Board owner Nan Foster emphasized that diapers and baby food are essential supplies during crisis recovery. "When a storm impacts our community, families with little ones face challenges that many people may not immediately think about," Foster said. Federal and state constituent services representatives will be on-site to connect families with additional resources. The event is open to the public, and free treats will be provided while supplies last.
