Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Pensacola police say there have been two 'jugging' incidents reported this week at local financial institutions. That's when a suspect targets someone they know has just made a large withdrawal and follow them to another location, then break into their vehicle to take the cash.
"This is something we've had happen twice this week in Pensacola, and my understanding is that it's happened in surrounding counties recently," says PPD's Mike Wood.
He says if you make a withdrawal at the bank you should pay close attention when you leave... and if you believe you're being followed you can call 911 for police assistance.
