PPD Charges Two Juveniles for Assaulting Homeless Man

Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Pensacola police say they have charged two juveniles with battery after a video surfaced online showing an incident between a group of teenagers and a local homeless man...

"It was clearly bullying on this transient," Says PPD spokesman Mike Wood. "One of them through a liquid in the individual's face, and another one hit him in the face and knocked him unconscious."

Wood says the altercation happened near Graffiti Bridge, and when the man fell, he landed on the railroad tracks, which could have been catastrophic.

Police said the victim declined to press charges -- but the state attorney's office decided to bring charges anyway due to the severity of the case.
