Post Offices Closed Monday for Columbus Day; Online Services Available

The U.S. Postal Service will close all post office locations across the region on Monday, October 12, in observance of Columbus Day. Regular mail delivery and retail services will resume Tuesday, October 13.
While brick-and-mortar post offices will be shuttered, the USPS says customers won't be left without options. The postal service is directing residents to usps.com, where they can order stamps and boxes, manage mail holds, process address changes, renew PO boxes, and print shipping labels online — all 24/7.
Many post office locations also feature self-service kiosks available around the clock, allowing customers to print postage for Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express shipments, purchase stamps, weigh and mail packages, and track deliveries. The USPS says it's expanding these kiosks and adding newer options like Rapid Dropoff Stations and USPS Smart Lockers at select locations as part of a broader modernization effort.
