Thieves now face a third-degree felony if they steal between $40 and $750. The law creates new offenses, including a second-degree felony if they use social media to solicit others to help. Aside from adding camera security to your front door, there are other steps you can take to protect your packages. Talk to your neighbors, watch for updates from your delivery services, request a signature on deliveries, schedule deliveries when you are home, and have deliveries put behind bushes or somewhere they cannot be seen.
