POLICE DOING SPEED ENFORCEMENT ON 3 MILE BRIDGE

Speeding is always a big issue on the Three Mile Bridge from Pensacola to Gulf Breeze. Gulf Breeze Police Chief Rick Hawthorne told Channel 3 that both Gulf Breeze and Pensacola police are enforcing the 45 miles per hour speed limit on the bridge, and often with unmarked police cars. Hawthorne says some people have been caught going up to 120 miles per hour. Police had extra patrols on the bridge over the weekend.
