Austin Peay Stuns UWF With Late Rally, Wins 38-16 at Pen Air Field

The University of West Florida's homecoming hopes took a hit Saturday night as visiting No. 14 Austin Peay pulled away in the second half to defeat the No. 17 Argonauts 38-16 at Pen Air Field.

Despite playing in front of home fans, UWF struggled early and couldn't recover from the deficit or overcome critical mistakes throughout the game. Austin Peay built momentum late in the contest to put the game firmly out of reach.

The loss marks a significant setback for the Argonauts in their Gulf South Conference schedule. UWF's next opportunity to bounce back comes with the start of their next conference matchup.
