PENSACOLA WOMAN SENTENCED FOR HIT AND RUN CRASH

A Pensacola woman was sentenced to 15 years in prison yesterday for a fatal hit-and-run crash in January 2024 involving an electric scooter rider. 40 year old Sarah Nowlin was sentenced by Circuit Court Judge Amy Broderson for leaving the scene of a crash with death. Her 15 years in prison comes with four years mandatory minimum. The crash happened on January 26, 2024, at 400 West Nine Mile Road in Pensacola. Nowlin was traveling west bound on W Nine Mile Road when she hit the victim, 34 year old Calvin Garlick, from behind and fled the scene. Garlick died from injuries sustained in the crash.
