Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- A Pensacola woman is facing charges for a crash that killed a 2-month old infant last year. 23-year-old Mi'Chaela Aalyah Thomas was arrested yesterday on charges of DUI negligent manslaughter, aggravated manslaughter of a child, and contributing to the delinquency, dependency, or need of services of a minor. Officials say Thomas was driving west on Jackson Street with an unrestrained 2-month old child in April of last year, when she crashed into a sedan that was backing out of a driveway. FHP said Thomas was intoxicated at the time. The infant died of injuries sustained in the crash. Thomas is being held without bond at the Escambia County jail.
