Pensacola State Reverses Course on Blocked Student Magazine

Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Pensacola State College is reversing its decision to block a student-produced magazine that included content about L-G-B-T-Q experiences. The college had cited Florida's Stop Woke Act when it refused to fund publication of the arts and culture magazine called "Just Opposed." After weeks of pressure from the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression — known as FIRE — PSC President Ed Meadows announced the school will now print one-hundred copies at the college's expense. FIRE says legal counsel ultimately confirmed the Stop Woke Act did not require the college to withhold funding from the publication.
