Pensacola State Presidential Search Committee makes Recommendation for College President

Pensacola State College has a new leader in the pipeline. The District Board of Trustees' Search Committee has recommended J. Alex Kelly as the sole finalist for College president. Kelly currently serves as Florida's Secretary of Commerce, overseeing the state's economic development and workforce programs. Board Chair Zack Smith says Kelly showed a clear vision for the College's future throughout the search. Kelly will visit campus in late September to meet with students, faculty and the community before trustees vote on his appointment.
