PENSACOLA MAYOR REEVES ON RED LIGHT CAMERAS

Pensacola FL (NewsRadio 92-3) The grace period for Pensacola's new red-light cameras is now officially over, and red-light violators will be getting $158-dollar fines if they're caught. Pensacola's Mayor says he's trying to fight the misperception that the city is just trying to get tickets out to people for being an inch over the line. Reeves says it's about safety, and the people getting tickets are those who are putting lives in danger. He says even as the city was advertising the new red-light cameras, they were seeing nearly 35 people per day running the light at 9th and Bayou.
