Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- A Pensacola man has pleaded guilty in federal court to attempting to kill an Escambia County deputy during a traffic stop last December. Twenty-one-year-old Darrion Finley was driving a stolen vehicle when deputies tried to pull him over. After a chase, a deputy used a maneuver to stop the car, and authorities say Finley fired a shot into the deputy's vehicle before trying to run away with a gun. A K9 took him down, and the deputy shot Finley when he tried to flee again. Finley survived and now faces up to life in prison at sentencing in January.
