Pensacola Habitat for Humanity breaks ground on 9-home project at former Malcolm Yonge site

Pensacola Habitat for Humanity will hold a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday, November 10, at 10 a.m. for a nine-home affordable housing development on the former Malcolm Yonge Gymnasium property at 925 East Jackson Street.
The project, developed in partnership with the City of Pensacola, aims to expand homeownership opportunities for residents who might otherwise struggle to afford a home in the area. The homes will be part of the Northwest Florida Community Land Trust, a structure designed to keep housing affordable for future generations of buyers.
Leaders from Pensacola Habitat for Humanity and city officials will speak at the ceremony about the vision for the neighborhood and provide additional details about the development. The organization is inviting the public and media to attend and help spread word about the opportunity to prospective homebuyers in the community.
