Millions of dollars are being invested in upgrades and improvements for Pensacola Beach, which will cost the county more than $15 million. Most of the money is coming from "local option sales tax" funds. The county has finished some projects that you may have already noticed, like fresh paint on the iconic Pensacola Beach Ball water tower and pavilions. Escambia County administrator Wes Moreno says the county has been working over the last five years to improve Pensacola Beach.
