Northwest Florida Congressman Jimmy Patronis says the urgency of VA advocacy work hits differently when you are personally involved in a case - and says a veteran he is working for right now is running out of time. Patronis says the veteran - wheelchair-bound after a 30-foot fall - is rated at only 30 percent disability because the VA is characterizing some of his injuries as preexisting. Patronis says his office handles hundreds of VA cases every month and says navigating the system on behalf of veterans who cannot do it alone is one of the most important parts of the job. He says anyone who needs help with a VA claim can reach out to his office directly.
