Navy Reports Eight Suicide Attempts During Extended Carrier Deployment

Pensacola, FL (NewsRadio 92.3) -- A story likely to resonate with Pensacola’s Navy community — eight sailors and aviators connected to the USS Abraham Lincoln strike group attempted suicide during its extended Middle East deployment. No deaths were reported.

The Lincoln spent 286 days at sea without a port call. Its deployment was originally supposed to end in May but was extended because of the war with Iran.
