NAVARRE INCORPORATION ON AGENDA FOR SR COMMISSIONERS

Santa Rosa County leaders are taking up the debate on whether Navarre should be allowed to incorporate as a city today. That item was put on the agenda for today's Santa Rosa County Board of Commissioners meeting by Ray Eddington at the request of state representative Joel Rudman. If the board waswere to approve putting the item on a ballot, it would then have to win the support of a majority of Navarre residents and Representative Rudman would introduce legislation along with a new feasibility study to the legislature. If it passed both houses and was signed by the Governor it would then be brought back to voters as a binding referendum.
