Molino Community Center Closing Next Week for Historic Floor Restoration

The Molino Community Center and its attached library will shut down for a week starting Saturday, September 19, to restore the building's vintage flooring.

The closure runs through Saturday, September 26, according to county officials. The work is part of an ongoing effort to preserve the character of the facility, which was originally built as Molino School back in 1939.

Patrons should plan ahead during the closure, as both the community center and library services will be unavailable. The museum housed at the location will also be closed during this period. Officials haven't announced whether the restored floors will reopen ahead of schedule if work finishes early.
