GAETZ FILES SAUDI ARABIA ANTI TERROR-ACCOUNTABILITY ACT -- David Wayne
Escambia County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Today, on the fourth anniversary of the terrorist attack at NAS Pensacola, Northwest Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz has reintroduced the "Saudi Arabia December 6th, 2019 Anti Terror and Accountability Act." Gaetz says if the bill were enacted it would hold Saudi Arabia accountable for aiding and abetting the terrorist attack and provide financial support to the victims. Gaetz says the Saudi government didn't properly screen Mohammed Alshamrani -- who shot and killed three sailors and wounded eight others during the attack. The legislation would end support to the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen, halt military officer exchange programs and weapon exports to Saudi Arabia, authorize the victims of the attack to sue the Saudi government for damages, withdraw 1 billion dollars from US aid to Ukraine, and allocate that money to the Victims of State Sponsored Terrorism Fund to provide damages to the victims of the attack.
