Marine Warning Canceled for Pensacola Coastal Waters

The National Weather Service in Mobile has canceled a marine warning that had been issued for coastal waters stretching from Pensacola to Pascagoula, Mississippi, extending 20 nautical miles offshore and including Perdido Bay. The warning, which had been in effect through the early evening, has now been lifted as conditions improved.

The special marine warning had been set to expire at 7:11 p.m. but was canceled ahead of schedule, according to the National Weather Service. The warning covered a significant stretch of the northern Gulf coast affecting local boaters and mariners in the Pensacola area.
