MAN TRIES TO SOLICIT 14 YEAR OLD BOY FOR SEX

A 42-year-old Georgia man is charged with trying to solicit a 14-year-old boy for sex while on vacation in Destin. Jeremy Smith, of Loganville, Georgia, was arrested Wednesday night on charges of: solicit a child for sexual activity

attempted production of child pornography, and use of a two way communication device to facilitate a felony. According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office, Smith, while vacationing in Destin, was chatting online with an undercover deputy posing as a local 14-year-old male. Investigators located the condo where Smith was staying and took him into custody. Smith is being held in Okaloosa County Jail without bond.
