MAN THREATENS ESCAMBIA DUNKIN’ DONUTS MANAGER WITH SHOVEL

A 49-year-old man was arrested after threatening the manager of an Escambia County Dunkin' with a shovel and machete. William Crumpler of Pensacola is charged with aggravated assault with a weapon. The incident happened yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon at the Dunkin' on Mobile Highway. According to the arrest report, the manager noticed an unknown man, later identified as Crumpler, rummaging in the dumpster behind the restaurant. The report states when the manager asked Crumpler to leave, he grabbed a long shovel and a machete from his belongings, saying he would hit the manager in the head with them. Crumpler left when the manager said he was calling deputies. Deputies located Crumpler a short time later down the road on Mobile Highway.
