Man Shoots Brother During Weekend Altercation

Escambia County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- A Cantonment man was arrested after allegedly shooting his own brother during a family dispute. It hpapened Saturday afternoon near Quintette Road. The Escambia Sheriff's Office says 41-year-old Horace Brown Jr. had claimed he shot his brother to intervene in an altercation where he was hitting their mother. The victim was shot in the abdomen and taken to the hospital in criticial condition. Brown Jr. is now charged with attemtped homnicide and violating a domestic violence injunction. He remains in the Escambia County jail with no bond.
