MAN ARRESTED FOR FATAL HIT AND RUN CRASH

A Pensacola man is charged with a fatal hit and run crash that killed a motorcyclist last November. The Florida Highway Patrol says William Lawler has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving death. Troopers say they identified Lawler as a suspect after he signed a vehicle with damage consistent with that crash over to a junk car company in Alabama. FHP seized the vehicle and arrested Lawler, who remains in the Escambia County jail pending a bond hearing. The motorcyclist died at the scene of that crash last November 23rd.
