In submitting her resignation letter to the city of Pensacola on Monday, Milton Mayor Heather Lindsay says she looks forward to clearing her name in upcoming proceedings. Her resignation as Assistant City Attorney came two weeks after Milton City Attorney Alex Andrade filed a lawsuit against her that alleges she's been unwilling to comply with public records requests. Pensacola Mayor DC Reeves wouldn't say whether there were any discussions about the issue in the lead-up to her resignation but said they'd let Lindsay's resignation letter speak for itself and wish her the best moving forward. Lindsay says her secondary employment as Milton's Mayor has interfered with her role with the city of Pensacola, and "I sincerely regret that".
