Laredo Street to close for sidewalk work in Santa Rosa County next week

Santa Rosa County will close a section of Laredo Street between Presidio Street and Granada Street beginning Monday, November 9, through Friday, November 13, for sidewalk construction work including ditch regrading.

Residents will maintain access to their homes during the closure, but drivers should expect delays and plan alternate routes. The county recommends using Presidio Street and El Paseo Street to bypass the work zone, depending on direction of travel. Detailed detour maps are available on the county's website.

The Laredo Street Sidewalk Project will ultimately extend sidewalks along Laredo Street from Highway 87 to Ortega Street. The work is funded in part by Area 3 Transportation Impact Fees. The closure timeline is subject to weather conditions.
