Improperly Extinguished Yard Burn Sparks Shed Fire in Pensacola Tuesday

Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- An improperly extinguished yard debris fire sparked a shed fire in Pensacola Tuesday evening that threatened multiple structures. Escambia County Fire Rescue responded to the 400 block of Mandalay around 5:30 p.m. and found a shed fully involved with flames spreading toward a home and a second shed. Firefighters saved the home on the property though a nearby home sustained minor heat damage. Two sheds were destroyed. Escambia County Fire Rescue is reminding residents to fully extinguish any outdoor burns.
