Santa Rosa County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- A big expansion is in the works for one of Santa Rosa County's largest employers -- Gulf Cable in the Santa Rosa Industrial Park.
The company recently purchased another 30 acres to nearly double their 'under roof' space in the park.
Gulf Cable Executive Vice President Kevin Bate says the company has manufacturing facilities all across the South, however, this is and will continue to be their largest. The company makes industrial high-voltage cables for the solar and wind energy industries.
Bate says they're hoping to nearly double the number of jobs in their Santa Rosa County facility to around 800 within three years. The Santa Rosa County Board of Commissioners approved their purchase of 30 acres at last week's meeting.
