GULF BREEZE WOMAN ARRESTED FOR ATTACK ON HUSBAND

Deputies arrested a 79-year-old Gulf Breeze woman with dementia for allegedly attacking her husband with a hammer. Elizabeth Diane Collins is now facing felony charges after a chaotic confrontation at their home. Deputies say she mistook him for an intruder during the incident, which has raised concerns given the couple's history of similar issues. Collins is currently in jail on a felony domestic violence charge, with her next court date set for June 19.
