Gulf Breeze couple arrested for animal cruelty after neighbor video

Two Gulf Breeze residents face animal cruelty charges after a neighbor's video captured abuse of their two bulldogs, according to Santa Rosa County authorities.

Charolette Dellinger and David Neely, both 57, were arrested following the incident. Santa Rosa County Chief Deputy Randy Tifft emphasized the importance of stepping away from frustration with pets rather than resorting to violence.

"You get frustrated with your pet, you just walk away from it," Tifft said, underscoring the department's message about responsible pet ownership and anger management.

The case highlights how community vigilance can protect animals. Authorities encourage residents to report suspected animal abuse to local law enforcement.
