Golden Elite Track Club Hosting Regional Track Meet Friday — Thousands Expected

Escambia County, FL (NewsRadio 92.3) -- The Golden Elite Track and Field Club is hosting the AAU Junior Olympic Regional Qualifier at Pine Forest High School this Friday starting at 10 a.m. Between 800 and a thousand athletes are expected to compete, with an estimated two to three thousand visitors coming to Escambia County for the event. The Escambia County Commission recognized the club Tuesday with a proclamation, noting the organization has served youth in the Pensacola area for more than two decades. Commissioner Strohberger said he plans to attend.
