Georgia Teacher Creates 'Fart Corner' For Students

A second-grade teacher in Georgia has gone viral for creating an unconventional classroom space designed to help students manage a very natural bodily function. According to Today.com, teacher Candy Sydney-Browning established what she calls a "gas station" in her classroom—essentially a designated area where students can step away if they need to pass gas without disrupting the learning environment.

The creative approach to classroom management has drawn attention for addressing a real issue that teachers face: kids being embarrassed or disruptive when they need to relieve themselves of intestinal gas. By creating a low-pressure zone where students can step out of the main classroom temporarily, Sydney-Browning aims to reduce classroom interruptions and help students feel less self-conscious.

While the concept might seem unusual, educators have praised the teacher's innovative thinking about creating a comfortable learning space where students can address basic bodily needs without shame or distraction.
