FWC Offers Free Hunter Safety Courses Across North Escambia in September

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is hosting free hunter safety courses throughout North Escambia County this month, with classroom sessions scheduled in Molino, Cantonment, Jay, and Milton.

The courses are designed to teach students proper hunting safety practices, conservation principles, and responsible hunting habits. Participants can complete the online portion of the course at their own pace before attending an in-person class session in their area.

According to the FWC, hunter safety certification is required for anyone born after June 1, 1975 who wants to hunt in Florida. The courses cover firearm safety, hunting regulations, wildlife management, and ethical hunting practices.
