Former Escambia County Commissioner Doug Underhill has been cleared of several ethics violation complaints. The complaints were made last year by David Bear -- chairman of the Triumph Gulf Coast Board and CEO of the Lewis Bear Company. The complaints involved filing inaccurate financial disclosure forms after he left office. The PNJ reports that the ethics commission ruled that there was no probable cause for the complaints and dismissed them. Underhill previously faced an ethics complaint that was dismissed in September of last year, and in 2020 he was hit with a trio of complaints that resulted in a $35-thousand dollar fine.
