Food Distribution Center Files to Build Distribution Center in Milton

Santa Rosa County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- A large food and beverage distributor could be coming to Milton. The PNJ reports that the Ben E. Keith company has filed a proposal to build a 3,200-square-foot warehouse near the intersection of I-10 and State Road 87. If approved it would be the company's second distribution center in Florida -- the first was built about three years ago in Gainsville. The Milton location would include a loading dock, common area, and office space. The company is based in Texas and has 10 divisions across 20 states that handle their supply chain. they employ more than 6-thousand people and serve markets in the southeast and midwest. The distribution center has not yet been approved by Santa Rosa County.
