Florida's redesigned driver license and ID card now available at local service centers

Florida residents in Escambia County and across the state can now get a newly designed driver license or identification card featuring updated elements reflecting the state's history, according to reporting from North Escambia. The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles is issuing the fresh design at service centers statewide, with online ordering expected to become available by early November. The redesigned cards are optional—existing driver licenses and ID cards remain valid, and residents are not required to update them at this time.
