Florida Executes Convicted Killer

(Raiford, FL) -- A convicted killer is dead after he was executed at Florida State Prison. Melvin Trotter died by lethal injection last night at 6:15. The 65-year-old was put to death for killing a 70-year-old woman during a robbery at her Manatee County grocery store in 1986. It was Florida's second execution this year. The third is set for next week.
