Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Taylor Swift has officially endorsed Kamala Harris for President -- Florida's Democrat party hopes that will be a big influence for young voters in November.
"it's not Hollywood...but music stars that are bringing them in," says Dr. Susan McManus, a retired political scientist for USF. She believes the endorsement could reach many young voters in Florida. "a lot of their lyrics are very political.... a lot of older folks don't realize how this is changing."
Retired USF Political Scientist Dr. Susan MacManus says the endorsement could reach many potential voters in the state. The Florida Democrat Party says they will be organizing around Swift's visit to Miami on her Eras Tour in October.
